Do you see that??? Do ya??? I might be slow, but I did it. My longest run ever. I had only planned on 11 or so this weekend, but a friend asked to run with me (thank you Robin!), and her training plan called for 13.5 this weekend. She was kind enough to slow down for me, so I wanted to go the distance in return. Don't get me wrong, I was hurting once we passed 9 miles or so, but it was just going so easily. I felt my body slow down a little, but we just kept talking and kept running. The loop around White Rock Lake is 9 miles, so we had to go past my car by just over 2 miles and then turn around to come back to the car. Well as we were heading back, I looked down at my watch and saw 13.55. I said "woah, we've gone too far." Seriously, not words I ever thought would come from my mouth today. (And yes, I will gladly claim that 0.05 as "too far".) We went ahead and did a short walk to cool down and to even out the miles at 14. Today was a major confidence boost on the road to my first marathon in December.
Not only did I get a record number of miles in today, but this was my highest mileage week ever. I couldn't be happier.
Today - 14 miles (record distance)
Week - 40.5 miles (most miles in a week)
Year - 627.5 (on track to hit my 1,000 mile goal!!!)

Great job!!!!!!! I'm feeling like a slug and need a hard kick in gear!
That so awesome, congrats!! :) And your not slow believe me, it takes me longer to do that many miles
Awesome, records always feel great (well, mentally anyway). Today was my longest ride since my knee injury --- only by a mile but hey, that counts. First time with consecutive 100+ mi weeks for me (127mi and 118mi). No idea what my yearly mileage is as I've ridden with 3 different cyclocomputers this year but the last 30 days is around 500 miles which no doubt smashes whatever my old record was. When's that first full marathon for you -- December? I'll get a test in 2 weeks on a 65mi ride in Greenville.
First full is Dec. 5th. I have 2 more halves between now and then, and a 20-mile race 3 weeks before. (Btw, I track my total mileage in a good ol' fashioned spreadsheet since my Garmin isn't going to track treadmill miles.) And yes, going beyond 13.1, no matter how small, was a mental barrier.
Whoohooo awesome job!
congratulations -- that has to feel good!!!
So awesome!! Wow! I only did 2 mile today and I am totally wiped out. Tomorrow is my long run - I won't even go half that distance! Great job!!

Nice job!!!!! 40 miles is amazing!!! I don't think I ever get that high because I get injured too easily. You kicked ass!
That's awesome! Congrats! I hope to get up to that point someday :)
