Week 11 Marathon Training Plan

Week 10 Recap:

As I mentioned last week, I knew my schedule was crazy this week, especially on the weekend due to both Easter and Paige's 3rd birthday.  I went ahead and changed up my schedule before conquering the week because there's nothing worse than having a schedule that you know you can't execute hanging over your head. 

Monday - 3 - Completed - Ran at home (on the ol' treadmill) since Em couldn't go to the gym...
Tuesday - 10 - Completed
Wednesday - 6 - Completed
Thursday - Off or a very easy 5 - Ran 4
Friday - 20 - Completed - Oh my goodness it was unpleasant... but it is D.O.N.E. 
Saturday - Off - Completed - And enjoyed!!!  Paige's birthday party!!!
Sunday - Off or a quick 3 - Off - Completed.  Enjoyed a restful holiday.

Week 11 Schedule:
Monday - 3
Tuesday - 10
Wednesday - 6
Thursday - 11
Friday - Off
Saturday - Off
Sunday - 13.1 - Heels and Hills Half Marathon

Looks good! Nice job on the 20-miler! At what pace do you do your long runs? Do you do tempo runs and other special workouts like that? Kick butt at your next race, lady!

@Christina - Usually my long runs are at 11 or 11:15 but in the wind and the heat, this one was closer to 12. I do occassionally do unstructured speedwork. To be honest, I spend more time focusing on getting a really big base and less time on speed. Although I intend to add in some speedwork - mostly tempos and hills - on Tuesdays for the last 6 weeks of training pre-marathon.
