Marathons and Giveaway Winners!

I think I'm settled on my marathons for next year, but I'm not 100% certain... so I'm looking to you all...
1.  Is there a marathon you've done that you loved and think I should do?
2.  What time of year is it?
3.  Why did *you* love it?
Or of races you haven't done... what races are on your "must do" list?  Talk to me people... don't be shy!!!  I'm interested in hearing about races both big and small... popular and unknown... near and far.  Comment away!!!

And now for the winners of my marathon-worthy Mission Athletecare Giveaway...  As mentioned, there are THREE winners, who will each get a $26.20 credit to spend as they please at MissionAthletecare.com

1.  Random winner from those that liked both Racing It Off and Mission Athletecare on Facebook...

2.  The person who guessed closest to my marathon finish time... missing by only 6 seconds...
~K~!!!!

3.  Random winner from those who commited to their first marathon...
Christina from Making Healthy the Norm!!!!

E-mail me ladies, and I'll get you hooked up with the coupon code you need!!!

Richmond. Obviously.

The other three I have run (Indianapolis, Shamrock in VA Beach and National in DC) were all crap during the second half. Don't waste your time.

i have only run one and you definitely don't want to come to NH to do it. I am doing Richmond this year though and very excited!!!

The best marathon on the planet is New York. You'd have to fundraise or get in through the lottery but it's so worth it!!! Congrats on a great time by the way!!!

Disney was awesome.

On my bucket list are Chicago and NYC.

The Competitor Group is taking over Madrid for 2012 and it's going to be a RNR marathon. I'm thinking of doing it with TNT!

Big Sur! It was absolutely beautiful. Hard? yes. but the views, the volunteers, and the medal make it worth it!

You know I lived Marine Corps -- you're going to love it too!

(And yay, I see you changed the options and I no longer need to deal with OpenID :) :) :)

(And by lived I mean loved. Seems like I'm still double posting because I can't spell today. Can't win them all...)

I did the Christie Clinic/U of I half Marathon (In Urbana IL) this past April and LOVED IT. Great course (ran through college town and partly on one of the walking trails), wonderful community spirit, plenty of water stations and porta potties. We finished in the college football stadium...I plan on doing it next year (april 10th ish weekend).

Ok so I've only run Boston and of course I would recommend that one for obvious reasons! However I am toying with running the Amica Marathon in Newport, RI in October. I LOVE running in the Fall and Dean Kara...something or other named it in his top 5 most beautiful marathons. The added bonus is that it is my hometown!
