I love...

I love that my 3-year-old tells me she's busy texting her coach when I ask her to do something.

I love that when I come home from running, my kids ask me if I got a medal.

I love that if I take my 7-year old out for a run, she asks "are we running 5k?" And if I follow up with "What's a 5k?" She immediately answers with "3.1 miles."

I love that after I take my 2 older kids to school, the first thing out of my 3-year-old's mouth is "Are we going to the gym?"

I love that if I need it, my kids know the 3 possible locations for my Garmin.

I love that after a race or long weekend run, my kids know to bring a movie and crawl into bed with me so I can chillax for awhile.

I love that if my kids witness me eating something new, they ask if it's good "fuel" for a runner.

Our kids are watching us.  The best way to teach them that exercise is fun and healthy and positive is to show them through our actions.

So cute! Your kids are definitely going to be runners!

Teaching kids healthy habits is definitely big in my book and I don't even have (nor think I want) kids!

I love that my son ran the NYE Half Relay with me. It is amazing the impact we have on them not by saying, but by doing!!! Good job Lesley!!!

Super cute! I learned they really watch when my oldest (4) put band-aids over his nipples, like daddy!

Awesome! I do hope to start setting a good example for my kids now and that they will stick to it as they get older!

Please teach your nephews about chillaxing. They don't get it.

SO great! My 2 year old is starting to say things like, "look mama, I running a race!" when she runs, or asking to go to the YMCA. At this point, she thinks everyone goes out for a run, and that's an assumption I'm not going to burst. :)

I have been loving how when I take my 3 year old little man to preschool he asks , "are you going on a run, Mommy?" and as soon as he gets in the car from pick up he says, "How was your run, Mommy?" :) I never thought that the band geek, non athlete, PE dreading high school me would EVER be able to say I love running and I love being fit.

This is too cute!!! When my boyfriend's nephew was her for Christmas we did an interval training, run to the next mailbox and walk back. He loved it!!

One of my favorite things my 3yo son does is as soon as I walk into the house after a long run he asks, "how was your run, Mommy?" Keira has also asked me if my race is/was a "half iron". They call the M-dot logo an "M with a head". They really do see everything!
