Coaching Services

I am currently only offering online coaching.

Online Coaching - Most of us lead busy lives.  As the mother of three children, I certainly understand.  But that doesn't rule out a personalized training plan and coaching!  The first month includes an initial consultation (e-mail questionnaire and/or phone call) and training plan development.  All months include unlimited e-mail questions/advice as well as training plan changes, updates, and most importantly - accountability and motivation!  You will also receive a weekly newsletter with coaching advice.  Price:  $60 first month, $50 subsequent months.  E-mail me, if interested.

Referrals - If you refer a new runner to me, and they sign up for my services, I will credit your account $20.

Why do *I* need a coach?
First, a coach is someone who wants *you* to succeed.  While job #1 is to motivate, encourage, and inspire; another important job of a coach is to educate you.  That means you have someone at your side to answer your questions and provide insight.  (Yes, occassionally a coach doesn't have the answer, but hopefully can point you in the right direction of where to find an answer.)

The importance of a coach includes the personalized training.  Sure, you can print hundreds of training schedules online, but are they designed specifically with you in mind?  There are other things to consider - what your specific body can handle (in terms of mileage and potential injury), your race schedule, your personal schedule, your specific goals (general fitness or speed or distance or all), etc.  Also, when setbacks occur - injury, illness, travel, and other unforseen circumstances - it is best to have someone who knows the basis of that training schedule to help you adjust it.

But I think some of the most important things you can get from a running coach are accountability and motivation.  Let's face it, we all struggle with motivation at some point, and it's really great to have someone cheering in your corner to keep you going.  And accountability is paramount - knowing that you are going to give a weekly report to someone on your runs might just motivate you a little more to get it done, even on the days you don't necessarily feel up to it.

So go ahead, find a run coach that matches your needs, and let's get to running!

I would be glad to provide references from some of my past and present athletes!!!
